Narayan Nagbali: The Supreme Ritual for Pitru Dosh
Pitru Dosh is a karmic debt of the ancestors, reflected in the horoscope of the native. It often manifests as an inability to conceive, chronic illnesses in the family, or sudden, unnatural deaths. The most effective remedy prescribed in the Garuda Purana and Skanda Purana is the Narayan Nagbali ritual.
This elaborate three-day ceremony can only be performed at Trimbakeshwar. It involves invoking Lord Vishnu (Narayan) and the serpent gods (Nagbali). The ritual effectively pacifies the unsatisfied souls of ancestors, allowing them to cross over to the spiritual realm peacefully.
The Three-Day Process
Day 1: The pandits perform the Sankalpa and invoke Lord Vishnu, placing offerings for the ancestors.
Day 2: The Nagbali ritual is conducted to repent for any harm caused to serpents by ancestors.
Day 3: The ceremony concludes with Ashirwad (blessings) and Ganesh Pujan.
Families who complete this ritual often report an immediate sense of relief, harmony, and the removal of long-standing family obstacles.
